National organisation NAVCA are to host an online event that further explores aspects which support good governance and the delivery of an organisation’s charitable purposes.
Addressing equality, diversity and inclusion can help a board make better decisions. It is said this would require commitment, but it also shows that a charity is more likely to stay relevant to those it serves when delivering their product or providing that service that it is relied upon.
Through recognising and tackling any imbalances in power, points of view and opportunities within a given group or organisation, as well as taking on board the attitudes and behaviour of trustees, staff and volunteers, a charity can help to make sure that it continues achieving its aims.
