Funding Round-up – Disability and Health (Part 1), May 2023

Here is a collection of funding rounds from local and national organisations focusing on disability and health themes for the Voluntary Sector.

Due to the varying nature and progress of public policies and other related activity, MVA do advise that some of the information below may have changed since the time of its issue, and whilst every effort has been made to provide up-to-date details, they ask that readers please check with each organisation’s website for the latest news.

EXCLUSIVE! - Guide to Disability Grants
The Care Workers Charity has produced an online service which aims to provide free accessible information on grants to support disabled adults and parents, as well as carers of disabled children.

Baily Thomas Charitable Fund - Small Grants below £10,000
The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund awards grants to charities and organisations who aim to aid the research into learning disability.

The Funders also provide grants to aid the care and relief of both children and adults affected by severe learning disabilities, including autism.

Capital and revenue costs for specific projects and for general running, or core costs are all considered.

The Funders say this is a Continuous Rolling Programme and applications can be accepted at any time.

Baily Thomas Charitable Fund - Large Grants above £10,000
The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund awards grants to charities and organisations who aim to aid the research into learning disability.

The Funders also provide grants to aid the care and relief of those (children and adults) affected by severe learning disabilities, including autism.

Capital and revenue costs for specific projects and for general running, or core costs are all considered.

The Funders say although applications can be accepted at any time, they do advise for this particular programme meetings are held three times a year to review applications, with deadlines for these being 1st March, 1st
August and 1st December each year.
