Funding Programme from Independence at Home (Help For You)
For those who have an illness or disability and need further assistance outside of the help they get from their local authorities or NHS services, they might be able to get a grant to help with their costs.
Independence at Home has grants for disabled people and those with a long-term illness who need financial help.
The funders specify they can only accept grant applications from health or social care professionals, or advisors or support workers from other organisations or charities.
The funders do reassure interested groups who believe they might be eligible for a grant should ask their health or social care support organisation to act as their Referrer, and this can include:
- Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- Mental Health nurse
- GP or social prescriber
- Social worker or advisor from their local Citizens Advice Bureau or
- Another Charity or similar organisation
At the time of writing, there is no recognised deadline, suggesting this scheme is a Continuous Rolling Programme and enquiries can be made at any time.
