Community Transport Grants from Motability

Mobility charity Motability is awarding charities and organisations working in the Community Transport sector generous funding to make an immediate impact for disabled people.

Through their Community Transport Grants programme, Motability aim to help charities and organisations to make this impact by awarding funding to develop, expand and improve community transport options.

The funding organiser’s focus for this programme is on:
  • Funding support for staff or volunteer training and costs
  • Funding to increase the number of vehicles available in the community to help organisations support disabled people
  • Funding local, regional, or national initiatives to increase awareness of community transport and influence its inclusion in transport strategy and policy
  • Funding to schemes, programmes and initiatives that already exist, and who provide best practice solutions, but need further support to remain operational or scale up the service they can provide to help more disabled people
The organisers advise each application will be assessed consistently against Motability’s criteria to make sure that funding is awarded fairly and transparently.

They also want to make sure their funding will deliver the greatest impact to as many disabled people as possible.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 8th October 2024.

More information and how to apply is available at the Motability website.
