MVA 2024 AGM, Barry Clout Awards & Reducing Health Inequalities Workshop

MVA are pleased to announce details for their 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), a gathering that promises to be both inspiring and informative.

Not only do we have a great line-up for the session we are proud to have been supporting Medway in engaging and empowering communities to build capacity in the sector for over 35 years this year.

This year, we are honored to have the High Sheriff of Kent, Dr Gillian Fargher, joining us to present our prestigious Barry Clout Volunteering Awards, which celebrate the unwavering dedication and outstanding contributions local volunteers have within our communities.

Following MVA’s AGM & Barry Clout Awards, MVA will be hosting a workshop exploring the role which the Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise & Faith (VCSEF) Sector in Medway has in reducing health inequalities.

The sector plays a pivotal role in addressing health inequalities, with only 20% of a persons health and wellbeing outcomes being achieved through 'clinical' measures and the other 80% attributed to the wide array of services the VCSEF sector provides.

More details about the event will be released shortly, however due to the anticipated popularity of the event, we recommend you 'book your space' now on Eventbrite by clicking HERE.

Join us for this opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals, share ideas, collaborate, recognise some amazing local volunteers and contribute to meaningful change. We look forward to seeing you there!
