The Future of Fundraising for Charities after Covid

The Covid pandemic has brought huge changes for the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Medway, especially so in terms of fundraising. With many ‘physical’ fundraising methods having to pause or even stop altogether, fundraisers have had to adapt, get creative and embrace long-lasting changes.

As charities are now getting back on their feet the way they approach fundraising moving forward can make all the difference to their overall success, and ultimately their survival.

Looking to the future, the VCS landscape is complicated, with grounds for concern as well as optimism. In a recent Charity Commission survey *over half (62%) of those taking part anticipate some level of threat to their charity’s financial viability over the next 12 months.

This means that it has never been more important for charities to stay ahead of fundraising trends and embrace change.
